I've been studying Chinese at the Communication University since March '15. Before this I attended private classes. Most of the Chinese I speak, I learnt while working with Chinese people.
I have 4 different classes: Chinese grammar, listening, speaking & reading.
我從2015年3月15日開始在中國傳媒大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)漢語。在此之前，我也報讀了私人課程。我說的大多數(shù)普通話都是在和中國人一起工作的時候?qū)W的。
我在上四門不同的課程：漢語語法、聽力、口語和閱讀。

How did you learn Chinese? I speak French fluently and am studying Italian at University. I really want to go to China after my studies and learn manadarin - even though I can't speak any. Do you have any advice?

Hi Toby, It doesn't matter if you don't speak any Mandarin yet. If you have a feel for languages (which it seems like) it'll be easier to learn Mandarin. I've learned it from taking private classes, speaking with my students and coworkers and from studying at the university. When I started attending university classes I was already able to speak / read / listen a bit so that made it easier. Good luck! :)

Not sure about Wang Peng, but there's a good chance you have the same text book. Many schools use this text book.
