This is onslaught on Non violet Gujarati culture just like love jihad. It needs to be tackeled in each and every village town and cities on emergency basis. Save Gujarati culture of Non Violence. In foreign countries people are struggling to adopt vegetarianism and people in Gujarat are becoming non vegetarian. It is a matter of shame.

The Hindu friends I've made (who were studying abroad and away from their families) tried a lot of meat the moment they landed. I was a bit shocked that none of them stuck to vegetarianism. Milk definitely seems ubiquitous as well. Veganism there seems harder than I initially thought!

It's just the Indian version of religious conservatism. Like Republican reverence for the unborn but hatred for so many of the living. They may not even be vegan. Dairy is accepted by many there.

Even if they were fully plant-based I still wouldn't call them vegans. IMO it's literally impossible to be vegan while at the same time hating any human demographic belonging to any category, whether racial, sexual, ethnoreligious, etc. We are a left-wing social justice movement. That means we should never stay quiet when we see bigots calling themselves vegans. Under no circumstance should we let right-wingers appropriate the word vegan.
