As a citizen of the USA, I can tell you it varies greatly depending on location and local culture. The US has plenty of places, though, so there's bound to be someplace safe for you to stay at.

@Bruce Pain I'm telling u I live in new jersey. it is safe but it's hella expensive sky high taxes. Honestly I recommend Midwest states or probably the south. New Hampshire is good but it is expensive because its in new England. I'll say that I am grateful that I grew up in USA. I am originally from Denmark but I moved usa when I was 12.

I've lived in the U.S. and visited 17 states. I agree with this video. As long as you use basic common sense and do a little research of the specific places you'll visit beforehand, you should be just fine.

I would say compared to other countries, it is safer to live here in the US than in countries like Venezuela, Mali. I lived in very safe places for my whole life so I haven't experienced crime personally but I know people who have.
