I knew Iceland was going to be featured in this list. Visited it on 2019 & would love to move there someday. The only thing I don't like is that it's really pricey.

I visited Croatia 40 years ago. The people left a good impression on me and they spoke good English.

As an American I am happy that I moved to Zurich, Switzerland, after 6 years in Baltimore and three in Milwaukee, it feels like going from hell to heaven.

Baltimore is one of the most violent places in the US and Zurich is probably the safest in Europe.

My favourite is Slovenia, with neighbours from this list: Austria, Hungary, Croatia.....

@M&G School I have done research on the Internet, which describes much discrimination against minorities such as, gypsies, gay folk, moslems, and foreigners.
So, no I don't want to visit such a country.

I am from Latvia .It is located in north Eastern Europe,near the Baltic sea. I used to think I live in a safe country my whole life. But now I am not so sure, because of the common border with Russia in the East and rising threats of war.

Iceland only has about 200,000 people and it’s an island so no wonder it is so safe.

Well, in fact Iceland is very safe. I was there in the 90s and what the Icelanders told me by that time was that it is much more likely that you will commit suicide than to become a victim of a crime.
In fact Iceland in the 90s had a suicide rate that was 100 times higher than the rate of murdering! People commited suicide because of the lonelyness, the cold and depressive weather.
So, Iceland is a great place to visit as a tourist but I would never ever like to live there!

It doesn't suprise me at all, that Iceland is 1st. They have very small population, basically no immigrants, far away from rest of the world. It is like small village.

Im Croatian and from my experience i think Croatia should be in top 7-5(expecially in front of Ireland, Austria, Canada) Ireland cant be in top 15 let alone top 3 at least in my opinion.

I visited the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Czech Republic and Austria.
While some places in Europe are great places to live in indeed, others aren't. So no, I wouldn't say that "Europe is the best place to live".
