I would say that my career has taught me the importance of being adaptable.
In today's world, things change so fast and so often that you can't afford to be stuck in one way of doing things. You have to be willing to learn new skills, try new approaches, and embrace new challenges. You have to be flexible and open-minded, and not afraid of failure or feedback. You have to be able to adjust to different situations and different people, and not let your ego get in the way.
Being adaptable has helped me grow as a professional and as a person. It has allowed me to explore new opportunities, discover new passions, and meet new people. It has also helped me cope with stress, uncertainty, and change. It has made me more resilient, more creative, and more confident.
So that's what my career has taught me for certain: being adaptable is not only a valuable skill, but also a rewarding mindset.

1.Work as little as you can to do the job you were hired to do.
2.Companies don’t give a shit about you. You are there to help them make money. Spend time on learning the skills you need to excel at any job, not just the one you are at now.
3.Don’t shit where you eat. If you’re having sex with someone you are working with it’s a matter of time before it goes south.
4.Stay clear of HR. The worst, most petty people in any company. They aren’t your friends.
5.Your boss will make or break your job. When you’re given an in-person interview request that your immediate supervisor be present. If you don’t like your boss run.

6.Everything is negotiable. If you’re skilled and know what you’re worth then don’t take a dime less than that number.
7.Max your 401K out regardless of what your salary is. Time passes quickly.
8.The Pareto Principle exists at every company you’ll ever work at. Become the 20% and you’ll always have a job. Once you establish who the 80% are ignore them, they will only end up adding work to your plate.
9.If you don’t like your job work constantly at finding another one. Being miserable at work influences everything you do.
10.Getting fired is no big deal. If it happens move on, you’re probably better off.

Over and over again, I see people in corner offices who, on paper, are of pretty mediocre intelligence.
If they were pitted against you on an academic test, most of you smart Quorans would best them fairly easily.
And you know what?
It means nothing.
The moment you step out of academia and into the office, nothing you did in school matters anymore.
Your SAT score.
Your board rankings.
Your perfect grades.
They evaporate. Gone. They were the price of entry.
Being smart certainly matters. It helps.
But the longer you spend in the business world, the less you’ll see success manifesting itself as a product of smarts.
You’ll someday realize that it was always just a contest of who wanted it the most.

As an incident manager, my job is to get the customer's issues fixed by the support team. This is a respectful job where I get to interact with engineers globally.
So once, I received an escalation from a customer where they expressed their frustration with our support. I immediately rushed to the engineer who had been working on the issue.
However, I didn't get a proper response from her. I even explained the case's urgency, but she sounded cold. After a few follow-ups, she suddenly became rude with her response.
I felt offended. Also, I was answerable to the customer and needed to share an upxe with them, for which I required her help. So, I immediately reached out to her manager and explained the situation. The manager assured me to look into it.

作為一名突發(fā)事件經(jīng)理，我的工作是通過(guò)支持團(tuán)隊(duì)解決客戶的問(wèn)題。這是一份受人尊敬的工作，我可以與全球的工程師互動(dòng)。

After a few minutes, I got a call from the engineer. This time, she sounded weary and tired but also polite. She apologized and told me that she was not well. I asked her if she had lunch. She told me she did not get time for lunch.
I politely advised her to have lunch on time. She thanked me, and then we discussed the work.
My job taught me to have patience. I learned that sometimes people become rude due to circumstances. I learned to be kind to people as we don't know who is going through what.
P.S.- I request you all to be a little kind to people around you. Here, everyone is going through something that we don't know.

I am a 24 old guy with very average life style. I completed my bachelors two years back and got a job as management technician in a mobile manufacturing company.
September 2018, I had a lump on the right side of the neck. I went to a local clinic and after doing some tests (FNAC, CT Neck, chest x ray and some blood tests) they told I have TB (extra pulmonary tuberculosis) and take TB drug for six months.

你人生中學(xué)到了哪些重要的課程呢？ 生活中最好的部分之一就是食物了。你同意嗎？如果不同意，請(qǐng)繼續(xù)讀下去。 我是一個(gè)很平凡的24歲男孩。我兩年前獲得了學(xué)士學(xué)位，并在一家手機(jī)制造公司擔(dān)任管理技術(shù)員工作。 2018年9月，我在頸部右側(cè)發(fā)現(xiàn)了一個(gè)腫塊。我去了一家當(dāng)?shù)卦\所，并做了一些檢查（細(xì)針穿刺活檢、頸部CT、胸部X線和一些血液測(cè)試），他們告訴我我患有結(jié)核?。ǚ瓮饨Y(jié)核?。?，需要服用結(jié)核病藥物治療六個(gè)月。

After three months of medicine, the lump size never reduced and doctor had doubts regarding the treatment. He asked me to do the CT neck again just to confirm that the size got increased. He referred me to a neck surgeon and told that lump must be removed by operating and it could cost me more than three lakhs for surgery alone.
I don't want to spend so much money so went to Government Hospital. I explained my medical history to them and they had some tests to be done on me. After test results they told the same thing as previous doctor that it is TB and also explained that it takes nine to twelve month to get away from the lump. They even showed me some previous patients history because I was very doubtful. Doubtful because I never had TB symptoms.

Fast forward six months, no improvement. It's almost nine months that I am taking the TB drug and have nothing changed.
May 2019, I was there for counselling and to my surprise doctors told me to undergo surgery (to remove the lump). I have decided to go for surgery because it's almost an year. After all the basic tests, I got the fitness certificate for getting operated and it took almost a month since Government Hospital. I couldn't go regularly due to work and for every single test it took almost a day due to crowd.

六個(gè)月后，沒(méi)有改善。我已經(jīng)服用結(jié)核病藥物將近九個(gè)月了，但什么都沒(méi)有變化。2019年5月，我去咨詢，醫(yī)生讓我接受手術(shù)治療。由于時(shí)間已經(jīng)快一年了，我決定接受手術(shù)治療。在進(jìn)行了所有基本檢查后這花了一個(gè)月的時(shí)間，政府醫(yī)院為我開(kāi)具了手術(shù)健康證明。由于工作原因，我無(wú)法經(jīng)常去醫(yī)院，每次檢查都需要花費(fèi)一天的時(shí)間，因?yàn)獒t(yī)院人很多。

4th June 2019, the operation day. I was told that the lump can not be removed completely because it is strongly matted with the neck and so they will do excision biopsy and check what it is. Operation was done and I was discharged after two days.
After three weeks result came as Cancer. They confirmed that is not TB after these many days. Primary source of cancer was unknown so I was referred to various doctors for opinion. My parents doesn't want to waste time so went straight to an oncologist. He directed me for PET scan and found the primary source of cancer. Nasopharynx cancer it is. A tumor behind the nose part.

2019年6月4日是手術(shù)日。醫(yī)生告訴我，由于腫塊與頸部結(jié)合得很緊，無(wú)法完全切除，所以他們將做局部切除活檢，并檢查它是什么。手術(shù)進(jìn)行了兩天后，我出院了。三周后，檢查結(jié)果顯示是癌癥。經(jīng)過(guò)這么多天的時(shí)間后，他們確認(rèn)這不是結(jié)核病。由于不知道癌癥的原發(fā)部位，所以我被轉(zhuǎn)介到各位醫(yī)生那里尋求意見(jiàn)。我的父母不想浪費(fèi)時(shí)間，所以直接去了腫瘤科醫(yī)生那里。醫(yī)生讓我做PET掃描，找到了癌癥的原發(fā)部位。是鼻咽癌，是在鼻子后面的一種腫瘤。

I never struggled in this entire journey of growing a lump and finding it is as Cancer.
It is the treatment that made my life hell. I was told to have radiation therapy combined with chemotherapy. Radiation therapy was given for 36 days with Saturday and Sunday off. Between these three cycle of Chemotherapy was completed.
Radiation therapy drove me crazy. Third day into the treatment I lost my sense of taste. Two weeks into the treatment I am unable to chew the food, so it is liquid diet after that. The last ten days I even had difficulty in swallowing.

在整個(gè)腫塊的發(fā)育過(guò)程中，我從未經(jīng)歷過(guò)任何困難，也沒(méi)想到是癌癥。而治療才是讓我生不如死的。我被告知要化療和放療。放療進(jìn)行了36天，周六和周日休息。在這三個(gè)周期之間完成了化療。放療讓我發(fā)瘋了。治療進(jìn)行到第三天，我失去了味覺(jué)。治療進(jìn)行到兩周后，我不能咀嚼食物，所以之后只有流質(zhì)飲食。最后十天甚至連吞咽都有困難。

Somehow everything ended within August and my taste sense never returned. I am still having liquid diet due to dental problems.
Now I realize, what an amazing gift I had once 'the sense of taste'
Imagine a life, where you can eat anything but everything tastes same which is tasteless.
It will take some months to get my taste sense back and until then
I will be waiting to taste the food I love the most.
Lesson learnt: ENJOY YOUR MEAL
