I recently read about Pakistan NIC (National Identity Card) and was amazed.
This card is mandatory for all Pakistani citizens and is issued at the age of 18. This card has more than 36 security features and is one of the most secure identity cards in the world. Its a chip based smart card which can be authenticated by card reader machines. Just imagine having a card which will ensure that there are no bogus voters during election.

Unlike Aadhaar in India this card is mandatory for all the essential day to day things like voting, financial transactions, getting sim card, purchasing vehicle and land, securing admissions in college etc. This actually eliminates the need of multiple identity cards like voter card, ration card and reduces the risk of illegal immigrants.
Plus to add on a majority of the space in this card’s chip has been made available for the private sector to use for their products and services.
And I think the best part about this card is, its not made of paper like its Indian counter part and they haven’t issued it to anyone who is not human.
