Get a kindle, change the background to black with white text, and then have the backlight on just enough to read the text. It's perfect for trying to get to sleep. Put away all devices with screens. Go to bed, read a book I've read a few times before. Once I find myself having to re-read sentences a lot, I put the book away, turn off the light and usually fall asleep within minutes.

It doesn't always work, but I try to slow down my thoughts. I have a tendency to think really fast, and sometimes at night, I'll end up thinking of multiple scenarios at once. If I actively focus on not doing this, it sorta helps me sleep.
