My wife and own a 20" Schwinn Loop and a 20" Schwinn Hinge I also bought a 16" Solorock Swift and really have developed an appreciation with small folding bikes. I got into the habit of driving my truck near to downtown parking in a non paying area then taking my swift out of the back and cycling throughout the downtown area to various shops to complete tasks. never bought an electric bike yet as do prefer to use my muscles while I have them. great review of a cool and inexpensive bike.

I've got a little yellow lead acid e-bike that I bought for around $180-. 36v 20Ah . I've been waiting for the lead acid batteries to die so I can swap them out with lithium, but here I am 18 months down the track and they're still working fine. I do around 50km per week on it and have been surprised how much I enjoy it and that the novelty hasn't worn off. Top speed says 40kph, but I think it's more like 28-30kph.

I'm only 5'7" also ! I bought the 250W DYU D3F mini folding e-Bike as an experiment/joke. 250W and 25km/h are the legal limits here in Europe. I just pop 1.5km. to the café-bar for morning coffee on it. I have 3 full-size e-Bikes and an e-Scooter too. That little yellow treat is really great value with a large battery, suspension, torque sensor, hydraulic brakes and a colour screen, what an awesome package. Theme song is fire !

At the end technically that freedare bike bike for the give away is technically not road legal in Canada as here we are limited to a max motor wattage of 500w and a max motor assist speed of 32kph (20mph). Thankfully I got my own ebike and I have really been enjoying that.

I bought a similar bike in the Philippines. It's very dangerous, the front wheel turned 90 degrees when I hit lump of cement covering a water line crossing the road. I went face first onto the concrete and had a couple injuries that still bother a little after 2 years.

i just view these things as overgrown e-scooters, and as that they seem perfectly fine if maybe a bit too small. Like it kinda just looks like a kid's bike, if they could make them more of a mini-version of the "standard" folding e-bike design i think people would be much more positive about them.

No, 16Ah is NOT "more battery than most full-size average ebikes." As headmaster of eBikey Skool oughtn't ya be watchin' the market? I can't find many "full-size" ebikes under 20Ah and that's the LOW END of what's out there. Getting specific, MEAN "average" is probably more like high-20s and MEDIAN "average" might be low 20s (because so much cheap stuff out there).
