Since its independence from Han ruling in 10th century, several times the Northern giant has tried to invade Vietnam again unsucessfully. During a short occupation by the Mongolian commanders, their generals captured some Viet heroes and persuaded them to collaborate with the agressors by offering good posts;

自從10世紀(jì)脫離漢朝統(tǒng)治以來,北方巨人曾多次試圖重新侵略越南,但都未能成功。在蒙古指揮官的短暫占領(lǐng)期間,他們的將軍俘獲了一些越南英雄,并通過提供優(yōu)渥的職位來勸說他們與侵略者合作;

A Vietnamese resistant replied: “ History has well defined: there are two countries the Giant northern and we small one in the South; I prefer to be a dead ghost here rather than a kinglet in the North; The Viet hero was executed consequently, but our Nation has been surviving until now facing various foreign attacks ….his tomb was well resereved by his fellowmen on his homeland and his words are wselle carved on the stone !
