Here in Aruba, I see every day Neta, Haval, BYD, and a bunch if other Chinese EVs, they are slowly but surely taking over. I own a Honda civic and a CRV, I love both of these cars, but my next car will be an EV, not even a hybrid.

I think it is a good thing that Chinese EVs are flooding the global car market. For years, we have had to put up with stupid, money-hungry, and now low-quality European vehicles. I live in a condo in Thailand about 250 km east of Bangkok. Two of our visitor parking spots have been converted to EV charging so we have lost visitor parking so now visitors park in the street when spots are full. I have never seen one car use the EV charging. There are EVs parked here but they dont charge here. I susoect they charge at their work.
I can walk to a new byd showroom.

Toyoda has made one outrageous and unfulfilled promise after another for more than a decade.Toyota has made negligible new developments, it has all been advertizing, marketing bulldust, and no substance for the past 10 years at least. Toyoda himself is China's greatest asset in Japan; his answer is always the same: another absurd press release to Toyota compliant motor journalists. Nothing of any substance ever. It would not surprise me if one of the Chinese companies offered a very low price for one of the smaller J companies. It would be rejected of course, but would show the world what the future of the Japanese motor industry is really worth
