Venezuela used to be one of the richest country in South America but just because they refused to give USA their oil, the USA destroyed their economy.

Majority of Turks identify with the global South and my country seeks a way out of the straitjacket imposed by the US. The latest news that Türkiye will apply for joining the BRICS is a wonderful development.

At first I went for fun then I kept hearing about a breakout of dengue fever that’s literally killing people so I decided to go back with a suitcase of the most basic medicines because their pharmacies are absolutely empty of the basics. Like what it did in the Philippines. Way back in the 1980's there were many CIA agents here in the Philippines. The US just waited for the right time to put President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. out of office. The US gov't simply cannot accept that the Philippines was on to industrialization, the economy was good, unemployment rate was very low, the military was strong. Also President Marcos reduced the land area occupied by the US military bases in the Philippines.

Basically US foreign policy hasn't changed for 180 years. Dominance, expansion and exploitation based on the Monroe Doctrine. 1800s they fought and displaced indigenous peoples to settle "new land". From 1890s to WW2 they invaded and annexed foreign territory. Post WW2 they install collaborators in power thru propaganda, deceit, sanctions, covert operations, meddling with elections, coups and military intervention last resort to avoid public opposition. WB/IMF/WTO/OAS/NATO ao organisations used as tools. Narratives and methods have changed but the end-goal remains the same. It's imperialist colonialism as ever. 70+ countries have been targetted over the last Century with 10s of Millions killed. US foreign policy makers are indeed monsters.

These sanctions need to end, if the goal of these sanctions were to topple the government, since sanctions imposed on Syria from 1980s-today and the government is still there. Only the average syrian citizen is suffering.

Sanctions are typically related to individuals/companies that bank in the U.S. and most sanctions are targeted at specific regimes, organizations, or industries. If the U.S. was allowing terrorist organizations to use to the U.S. financial system to fund terrorist attacks, you’d make a video on that too. There’s absolutely room to critique U.S. foreign policy, Venezuela being a great example, but overwhelmingly, Venezuelan sanctions do not reflect the obxtive of most U.S. sanctions.

Sanction is necessary as a tool to enforce international rules-based order. If those governments choose to pass the costs of sanctions to their own people, then those governments are to blame. If those governments don't want to suffer sanctions, they must abide international law. Those governments that don't want to abide international law try to blame the U.S. for their problems...

US perpetual wars and killing of innocent people to make huge profits for the military industrial complex
In the US citizens pay many taxes including state taxes and federal income taxes and many others. We elect politicians who's job it is to distribute that revenue in a manner that best meets the needs of our society. Part of that money goes to social welfare programs to help the poor and homeless with programs for example Medicaid and Food stamps that helps the poorest in our society. We expect them to do what's best for our society as a whole. A growing number in our society would prefer that money be used at home rather then spending Billions of dollars on perpetual wars. For example a 20 year unjust war in Afghanistan costing 2.3 trillion dollars. The cold war never really ended by Ronald Reagan. It just morphed into proxy wars around the world. The US needs to stop the perpetual wars that make huge profits for the military industrial complex and kill untold numbers of innocent people.

The US govt commits the crime, the average American citizen pays the price. 911 incident is one such example. It's ironic that the US and the collective west came up with behavioral science. One of its findings is that the over excessive use of punishment will eventually cause the punished to adapt and circumvent. Also, it's interesting to note that the countries imposing the most sanctions are mainly western countries.
